For over 20 years, the Homebound Mitzvah Program at MorseLife Health System has been reaching out to the area’s homebound elders to bring joy and comfort to seniors during Jewish holidays such as Passover.

This year, more than 400 volunteers prepared and delivered packages to seniors throughout Palm Beach County prior to Passover. Packages included complete kosher for Passover meals, matzo, matzo ball soup, macaroons, and kosher wine, as well as a large print Haggadah, and a DVD of a Seder conducted by Rabbi Alan Sherman, Chaplain at MorseLife.

In addition to the delivery of the packages, our volunteers spent quality time with those homebound seniors who otherwise might not be able to experience the joys and traditions of Passover.

The Program was founded in 1997 by Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz and is supported by many philanthropists in Palm Beach County as well as by a grant from the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
