MorseLife Memory Care Assisted Living will host a “Night of Splendor,” an evening of music, fashion and cocktails in celebration of the residence’s first year anniversary.  The event will be held at MorseLife Health System, 4847 Fred Gladstone Drive in West Palm Beach, on Saturday, June 18 beginning at 6:00 pm.

MorseLife Memory Care Assisted Living opened last June, offering 52 residences for seniors with moderate memory impairment, as well as a separate 30-bed long-term care residence for seniors with more advanced memory impairment.  Regularly at capacity, it fills a service gap in Palm Beach County for innovative residential programs for seniors with moderate to advanced memory impairment that comes with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

A “neighborhood concept,” the residence offers expansive dining and living room areas, warm and inviting kitchen, gardens, as well as full service amenities and activities.  It has an on-site medical team led by a Harvard-trained geriatrician, nurse practitioners and visiting medical specialists; structured fitness programs; and innovative activities program designed to engage and stimulate residents.  One of its unique programs is Music & Memory, a program of personalized music on the iPod which has shown to improve behavior, socialization and enhance cognition.

“Night of Splendor” starts at 6:00 pm with music from the Danny Zales Band, followed by a fashion show and cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  Guests are asked to wear red, white and black clothing.
