Hotel-Style Bellmen Service Making Life Special for Residents of Senior Residence

As you pull up to the entrance, a uniformed man immediately comes from his post to greet you, opens the door and helps you with your luggage.   No, this is not a ritzy hotel in New York City – it is actually The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, the all-inclusive senior residence on the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Seniors campus of MorseLife Health System.
According to Stephanie Frazier, Vice President of Housing at MorseLife Health System, the new “bell attendant” program began in June to help make life easier for residents of the independent and assisted living residence.  “Our overriding goal is to provide a lifestyle that frees our residents from daily responsibilities they had previously that limited their spare time,” she said.  “Our bell attendant program brings to our residents a very special convenience, lending them a hand when they need it.”
Ms. Frazier notes that the bell attendants work every day from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm.  Like in fine hotels and urban high rises, Tradition bell attendants take on a variety of responsibilities, including helping residents with luggage and groceries; providing assistance as they get into our vehicles for appointments and outings; delivering packages and dry cleaning; and bringing their cars up to the entrance in inclement weather.
“We have a history of consistently ‘raising the bar’ when it comes to provide exceptional services to our valued residents,” Frazier said.   “Many of our residents have already said that the bell attendants really remind them of the valets from their favorite hotels throughout the country.”
Morris Horowitz, a long time resident and past President of Resident Council of The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, notes that he appreciates the addition of the Bell Attendant Program.  “Our ‘bellmen’ are immediately at our disposal, making all of us feel that we are special,” he said.
The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, located on the 37-acre Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Seniors Campus of MorseLife, offers 144 independent and assisted living residences with amenities and features designed to enhance the senior lifestyle.  Built in 2004, the residence has just undergone extensive renovations in advance of the opening of the new Levin Tower at MorseLife, a connected 10 story independent living residence to open in late 2017.  For more information about The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, call (561) 687-3005.
