What is
“Cannabis-Based Therapy”?
Medical-grade cannabis-based therapy is nothing like what is commonly referred to as “street marijuana.” When cannabis oil is extracted from the marijuana plant it can be processed in specific cannabinoid ratios and doses to address many ailments common to older adults. Side effects, like dry mouth and drowsiness, are well-tolerated and not life-threatening.
Under the guidance of a licensed medical marijuana physician, cannabinoids have yielded positive results in the treatment of chronic pain, neuroplasticity, emotion and mood disorders, insomnia, poor appetite and nausea, as well as chemotherapy-related discomforts. MorseLife has had positive and commendatory results managing clients who suffer from all types of dementia.

Our Treatment Protocol
Prior to participating, older adults are fully evaluated by a physician specializing in medical marijuana to determine the likelihood of benefiting from cannabinoids. Why Cannabinoid
Based Treatment Now?
In September 2019, MorseLife commissioned an online survey of 2,008 adults in the United States, conducted on our behalf by The Harris Poll. One of its top insights was overwhelming support for medical marijuana. Regardless of any individual’s personal opposition, the reality is that patients and their families in Florida have fought for years to simplify access to medical marijuana.

Forging New Frontiers in Senior Care
MorseLife recognized the potential of medical marijuana to improve the lives of the residents in our care. The findings of our cannabinoid pilot program reveal the potential to revolutionize treatment protocols for multiple illnesses affecting seniors and will hopefully lead to additional treatments for the future.
