Initially, my mother was hesitant about moving out of her lifelong home. But I felt she could use some assistance and was worried about her becoming isolated. We took a tour of Tradition, and she instantly fell in love with it. We took Mom and Dad to see Tradition because they felt they were at the point of needing some assistance with their daily routines. They also liked the idea of a more active social life. Now they have so many interesting things to do every day, they barely have time for us! But we love visiting them for lunch or dinner. My father had always been the driving force in our family, so it was a shock when he was diagnosed with dementia. He had done so much for us; now it was our turn to take care of him. But as he declined, his needs were beyond our ability. We’d heard about MorseLife Memory Care. There aren’t too many places we’d trust to take care of Dad, but Memory Care is extraordinary. The surroundings are beautiful, the staff is specially trained to care for patients with memory disorders, and they treat each resident as an individual, not an illness. Dad is secure and happy there, and that’s all that counts.

It was all my father needed to convince him. The residences are lovely, and the staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. I’d been a PACE participant for a few years, attending the PACE Center on the MorseLife campus which is beautiful.
