A Nod to the iPod

Thanks to this portable music device, MorseLife’s memory care residents enjoy personalized music experiences

Today is National iPod Day which recognizes the revolutionary Apple device introduced in 2001. Thanks to this little gadget, our memory care residents have enjoyed participating in MorseLife’s innovative Music & Memory program, where they can listen to personalized music lists loaded with their favorite tunes.  The program has been shown to significantly enhance cognition, behavior and socialization among our residents.

Committed to implementing innovative new programs that better the life of our memory impaired residences, The Memory Care Residences at MorseLife offers music-focused programs to promote engagement, spark memory and elevate spirits. Memory impaired residents are invited to take part in ballroom dancing and Mind&Melody programs, which incorporate musical instruments, signing and painting into our resident’s daily schedules.
