Virtual Monthly Gatherings For Children of Holocaust Survivors – 2Gs
After a summer hiatus, MorseLife Holocaust Learning Experience will resume monthly gatherings for 2Gs, facilitated by Dr. Irit Felsen and Dr. Jenni Frumer.
There is no charge to attend these gatherings, but registration for each session date is required
These gatherings are not webinars; they are designed as informal, open forums where participants can unite in solidarity, engage with one another, gain valuable insights, and connect in meaningful ways. This is a space for open dialogue and mutual support, where each voice is valued and heard.

Irit Felsen, PhD is a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma and traumatic loss whose clinical work and research have been focused on Holocaust survivors and their families. Dr. Felsen is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University. She is in private practice in NJ. Dr. Felsen is a member of the APA Trauma Division and the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, a board member of the Holocaust Council of MetroWest, and a co-chair of the Trauma Work Group in the UN Committee on Mental Health. She published papers in peer-reviewed professional journals and contributed book chapters. Her research was the basis for a book entitled Psychoanalysis and Holocaust Testimony: Memories of Unwanted Social Trauma. Dr. Felsen is a sought-after speaker, presenting nationally and internationally on the long-term effects of trauma on survivors and the intergenerational transmission of trauma to the children of survivors.

Jenni Frumer, PhD, LCSW, MSEd is the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Director of the NOW for Holocaust Survivors Initiative at MorseLife Health System. Her passion is evident in her oversight of the Holocaust Learning Experience, an impactful initiative that deploys and delivers a bundled approach that brings Holocaust lessons directly into 5th-12th-grade classrooms. Jenni is the retired CEO of Alpert Jewish Family Service in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Mental Health Counselor and earned her Ph.D. in Human Capital Management from the College of Business at Bellevue University in Nebraska. Dr. Frumer was a founding board member of the International Center of Multigenerational Legacies of Trauma. She co-created the national guidelines for Person-Centered Trauma-Informed Care programming and services for Holocaust Survivors, leaving a lasting impact on the field. She has researched the perceptions of mortality as children of Survivors in the context of their parents’ Holocaust experiences of death, dying, and illness. She has published professionally on working with Holocaust survivors, the impact of COVID, and support models for community-dwelling older adults. Dr. Frumer is an adjunct faculty member at Lynn University and a regular presenter in the Lifespan Gerontology Certificate Program, affiliated with the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
